Flying to Madison
Three Flying Options
Madison is served by the Dane County Regional Airport. Direct flights are available to and from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, New York, Detroit, Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., and a dozen other cities. A taxi from the airport to Memorial Union takes about 15 minutes.
Convenient bus service between Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and Madison make it a viable flight destination. Van Galder Bus offers service at a round-trip price of $60. Buses depart hourly between 5:40 a.m. and 10:40 p.m. from International Terminal 5 and the Bus Shuttle Center (across from the Hilton Hotel). The ride takes approximately three hours and stops directly across the street from Memorial Union.
The General Mitchell International Airport serving Milwaukee, Wisconsin is about 75 miles from Madison. The Badger Coach Bus Line offers six trips daily from General Mitchell International Airport directly to Memorial Union for $23 one way. Travel time is approximately two hours.
